1st Vice President – Charles Aguilar-Rogers
Charles Aguilar-Rogers has worked for the City of Los Angeles for over 30-years and began working for the City’s Personnel Department in June of 1986. During his 30-year City career, in addition to the Personnel Department, he as also worked at the Department of Public Works, the Los Angeles Police Department, and the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP), where he has currently been working as a Utility Administrator since April of 2000. He currently is as a Manager of Labor Relations in the LADWP’s Labor Relations Office, which is part of the Human Resources Division.
Charles earned his Masters of Science degree in Human Resources (MSHR) in 2007 from Chapman University. He also holds a Master’s in Public Administration (MPA) and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from California State University at Fullerton.
Charles has been a LACECA member for 30-years. He was President of LACECA from 2009-2010 and also President from 1996-1998. He has also occupied the offices of 1st Vice-President and Treasurer and was co-editor of Las Nuevas from approximately 1992 – 1994. He was the Chairperson of LACECA’s 30th Anniversary Event back in 2001, Chairperson of the 1990 LACECA Scholarship Committee, and Chairperson of LACECA’s Annual Holiday Reception and Toy Drive.
